Finished packing

I think I am finally packed for New York. One of my friends who studied abroad a few semesters ago in England gave me the idea to use those air tight bags to pack my clothes into. I was able to pack everything I think I need for the summer into two suitcases. It was a miracle. However, if I decide to buy anything while I'm gone (which let's be honest, I will) I have no idea how I am going to fit anything else into those suitcases. It took several tries rearranging all my stuff to make it fit.

I also packed a present my boyfriend, Bud, gave me to take along. He is a tiny horse that we named Horace. I imagine he will sitting on my window sill at the New Yorker.

My mom and Eric are flying to New York with me this weekend. I'm glad they will be there to help me get settled. It also makes me feel a lot more comfortable and safe knowing there will be other students from Ball State around throughout the summer.

1.5 days to NYC. I can't believe it's finally here.

  1. Here's a little secret I learned: when you come back, throw away all your underwear, socks, and undershirts - it makes for so much more room to get other things back, and you can cheaply buy new undies and stuff. Also, you can mail clothes back cheap, so keep that in mind.

I'm just now getting into your blog, so I can't wait to see what kind of exciting things you're doing.
